Working Party
Since 1994, the Extension Working Party has held nine international
symposia which have served to promote the concept of extension through
the transfer of knowledge and technology to improve the lives of
people and forests around the globe. Members share best practices
and research for effective extension programs that transfer knowledge
and technology to benefit forest communities and influence forest
policy and practices.
Technology
Transfer Working Party
The mission of the Technology Transfer Working
Party is to coordinate
the interests of IUFRO member organizations related to the application
of forestry research findings. The working party serves as a focus
for learning about technology transfer and sharing successful approaches.
Members work to develop methods and techniques to generally improve
technology transfer including planning for it as part of the research
process, inclusion of user groups and stakeholders, and evaluation
of successful transfer.
